Egyptian caught selling sex toys to students Indian held with drugs
KUWAIT CITY, April 19: Security officers from the Electronic Crimes Department have arrested an Egyptian for selling different types of sex toys to male and female students.
After receiving information about an Egyptian promoting sex toys on the Internet and selling these items to male and female students at various institutes, colleges and universities in the country, the officers arranged an entrapment and sent an undercover agent to purchase sex toys for men and women worth KD 450 from the suspect. He was arrested soon after completion of the bogus transaction.
The officers later raided his flat in Hawally where they found a large number of sex toys and indecent clothes. Initial investigations revealed he works as a representative of a shop that sells women’s clothes. A case was registered and he was referred to the authorities for the necessary legal action.
Indian held with drugs : Security operatives Monday apprehended an Indian national in possession of one kilogram of heroin, other ready-made wraps of drugs, and a scale.
Security sources said the anti-narcotics chief Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa received a tip-off about a Pakistani inmate at the Central Prison who employed unknown expatriates to smuggle illicit drugs into the country, so he directed the local anti-narcotics team leader Colonel Ahmad Al-Sharqawi and his subordinates to monitor phone calls the suspect made, and they discovered identity of one of the suspects.
Meanwhile, the officers coordinated with counterparts at the Public Prosecution to nab the suspect, whereas an undercover agent approached him to buy 40 grams of heroin for KD 800. In the process, the suspect was trapped with marked currency, and he was arrested by police immediately after the deal was completed. He then led officers to his apartment in Farwaniya, where they retrieved one kilogram of heroin and scale. The suspect confessed working for the inmate, and he was referred to the authority for legal action.
Indian beaten, robbed: A 30-year-old Indian suffered from multiple injuries when three unknown persons beat him and forcibly took his money in Taima Jahra Sunday.
After receiving information about the incident, the Operations Room dispatched a team of securitymen and paramedics to the location. They rushed the victim to Jahra Hospital as he was bleeding profusely.
A case was registered at Taima Police Station and securitymen are now looking for the suspects.
Docus, cash stolen: The officer in charge of a commercial company has filed a complaint at Maidan Hawally Police Station against unknown persons who allegedly broke into his office and carted away with official documents and cash amounting to KD 5,000.
According to the complainant, he found the door of his office broken when he reported for work recently. He immediately checked the contents of the office and discovered that the thieves had taken official documents as well as KD 5,000 cash. Securitymen lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits. Investigations are also ongoing to expedite arrest of the suspects.
Expensive tyres stolen: A Kuwaiti has lodged a complaint at Jabriya Police Station against unidentified persons who allegedly stole the expensive tyres of his vehicle, which was parked in front of his house in Jabriya.
The complainant told police he was surprised when he went out of the house as the tyres of his vehicle were missing. He immediately reported the incident to police who have started conducting investigations to identify and arrest the thieves.
