KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: An Asian expatriate, in the company of a compatriot in his 50s, was arrested by police officers in Jleeb Shuyoukh, after he was found with 11 bottles of locally brewed liquor. One of them is said to have tried to escape, but the officers managed to arrest him. They have been referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.

3 fingers of hashish seized: Securitymen apprehended a Bedoun with three fingers of hashish in his possession in Hassawi. According to sources, the officers were on routine patrol in the area when they spotted the man, who was speeding excessively, and they ordered him to pull over for checking.
The officers found hashish after a search they conducted inside the car. During interrogation, the officers discerned he wasn’t in normal condition, so they sent him to the concerned authority for necessary action.

2 held for consuming alcohol: Two citizens were arrested by police for consuming alcohol, and in possession of two bottles of imported liquor at a checkpoint in Bneid Al-Gar.
They were referred to the concerned authority without delay.

Engines of motorboat stolen: A Kuwaiti, 39, filed a police complaint, saying thieves stole two engines from his motorboat Thursday night. The complainant said he noticed the theft when he was leaving for work in the morning.
Securitymen and Criminal Investigation Department men went to the robbery site and lifted fingerprints.
Investigations are going on and police are looking for the thief.

Asian held with porn CDs: The Farwaniya police have arrested an Asian man for selling porno CDs, reports Al-Dar daily.
The Asian was caught red-handed in a suburb of Hassawi. During interrogation he admitted to selling the contraband in Hassawi and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the authorities.

Jail, fine for citizen: The Criminal Court has sentenced an unidentified Kuwaiti man for two years imprisonment in absentia and also fined KD 1,000 for blackmailing a Kuwaiti woman and sending her indecent photos to her father and brother when she refused to pay him more money, reports Al-Dar daily.

Drunkard motorist crashes: A Kuwaiti man has been arrested and detained at the Al-Waha Police Station for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The drunkard was taken into custody when his car overturned on a road in Salmi in front of the Jahra Stables due to reckless driving.
He was found crawling out from under the car by a police patrol. It has been reported the man escaped unhurt.
When police went to arrest him, he allegedly threatened to commit suicide and put the murder blame on the cops.
