If you were really serious about controlling the traffic problems!Fred Jones | 10/19/2010 1:25:00 PM If you were really serious about controlling traffic problems in the State of Kuwait then your department would enforce a 'Black Point system' similar to the UAE. You would also send a task force to study the advanced equipment that they are using in their DMV's in order to organize your driver's license departments. You would also investigate how this has improved their traffic problems and how it can be implemented here. You would also realize that the camera systems in the country need to be upgraded and you would further investigate what cameras are being utilized in the UAE. You would upgrade your police force with new vehicles and cross train in the UAE on certain responsiblities involving the skills that your police force requires. You would also formulate a special division that only handles accidents in the country. You would also work with other government departments to install better lighting on both sides of the road, fix the timing on street lights and install street lights where needed. You would then discuss alternate transporation systems in the country so you can pull 1/3 of the old cars off the Kuwait roads, further upgrading the car inspection departments in the country. You would also pass legislation on driver education, again further witnessing the types of driver training that is done in the UAE. Most importantly you would enforce a Black Point System in the country which would involve an increase in bad driving penalties. EVERYONE is driving poorly on the roads of Kuwait and that is because they are not being properly punished for their poor driving skills by the law enforcement. List of black points for traffic offences in the UAE. Traffic violations: Some of the offences Strategy to curb the following driving behaviours: 1) Driving vehicles that pose a threat (car racing) 2) Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs 3) Reckless driving 4) speeding 5) Jumping red signals 6) Driving dangerously 7) Recklessly overtaking
