Egyptian Magician caught for robbing many people with his ‘tricks’ Police officer probed
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: The Salhiya police have arrested an Egyptian man who had robbed a jeweler and 17 cell phones from various shops, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The arrest came following a complaint filed by a Kuwaiti man who said an unidentified person approached him and spoke in a strange language and all that he remembers is that he handed over to the man his cell phone, KD 60 cash and a gold ring worth KD 200.
Investigations conducted by police led to the arrest of the magician. He was picked up from a legal lineup by the salesman whose shop he had stolen the gold jewelry, an expensive watch and KD 800 cash money.
The man is believed to be a black magician. He has been referred to the authorities and police records show he came to Kuwait on a commercial visit visa.
Police officer probed: The General Department for Inspection and Control at the Ministry of Interior is interrogating a police officer for helping a former MP to leave the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the parliamentarian was wanted by law. The officer is also said to have completed some business transactions on behalf of the ‘fugitive’ because he holds a power of attorney in the name of the former MP.
A police source said the board chairman of an unidentified company has filed a case against the police officer. In the lawsuit the chairman accused the police officer of working for the former chairman of the company (the former MP) based on a proxy which was issued to him when the accused was in power.
A report on the issue is expected to be submitted to the higher authorities in the Ministry of Interior.

The daily added the diesel was filled in six containers which were among other goods. A senior official of the company has been referred to the authorities for interrogation.
