Juveniles in violation of law 3 boys found drunk
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: Fifteen people were arrested for loitering in front of a secondary school and an intermediary school for girls in Jahra, and 20 other minors were apprehended for driving without license, in a recent campaign security operatives from the Jahra Directorate initiated recently. Those arrested were referred to relevant authorities.
Man held in fraud case: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man, wanted by law in a KD 70,000 fraud case, and referred him to the Sentences Enforcement Department, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect was arrested on King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Road.
Another Kuwaiti, who was earlier caught in possession of 27 narcotic pills but managed to evade arrest, was caught in Al-Sebia area. He was referred to authorities.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry shut down 33 establishments and issued 115 citations during an inspection campaign launched in the Free Trade Zone last week, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The ministry said it issued many notices to the violating establishments over the last few months, urging them to take the required measures.
And, Jahra securitymen launched an intense security campaign in Amghara scrap area and arrested 59 expatriates of various nationalities for violating the residence law, and impounded four cars which were earlier reported stolen, reports Al-Anba daily. The violators were referred to authorities for further action.
Boys found drunk: Three boys were arrested by securitymen for consuming alcohol, and in possession of a bottle of liquor.
Security sources said the boys were spotted in front of an entertainment park in Riqqae late at night, and so the officers approached them for questioning. It was noticed the boys were heavily intoxicated, and liquor was found inside a bag after conducting a search on them.
The boys were referred to the concerned authority without delay.
Arab expats in fight: Two Arab expatriates engaged in fisticuffs in Amghara, resulting in injuries to one of them.
The injured man was referred to Jahra Hospital by paramedics accompanying the securitymen to the scene after the Operations Room had been notified of the episode. The other party was referred to Jahra police station.
Dramatic escape: A Kuwaiti citizen told security operatives about a thief who broke into his home at night and escaped by joining sheets and other clothes and descending from the roof, after he realized the citizen had noticed his presence.
Local liquor seized: Policemen on patrol in Jleeb Shuyoukh nabbed a motorist with 18 bottles of locally brewed liquor in his possession. He was referred for further investigation.
Brother in brawl: Two brothers were injured in various places of their bodies and were rushed to Farwaniya Hospital by paramedics when they exchanged blows over a minor disagreement. Securitymen have registered the case for investigation.
