Three Girls fight over a boy at a café in Salmiya

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22:: A fight broke out among three women at a café in Salmiya and all three of them filed separate police complaints, accusing the other two, reports Al-Rai daily.
One of them even submitted a medical report stating that her nose broke during the fight. An eyewitness said the fight took place over a smart young man.


180 citations issued: Hawalli traffic police issued 180 citations to traffic law violators and impounded 12 vehicles during a campaign launched on Abdulkarim Al-Khattabi Street in Rumaithiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Traffic police had used radar during the campaign which revealed that some of the motorists were driving at a speed of 230 kmph.  The campaign was launched under the instructions of Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Mahmoud Al-Dosari.


Stolen car found: Police are looking for a thief who stole a car from Sabah Al-Salem area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police patrol belonging to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Directorate found a car parked in an open ground and on checking records, came to know that it was reported stolen two days ago. Sources say the car may have malfunctioned after colliding with a manhole cover and the thief might have escaped, leaving the vehicle behind.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the car to identify the thief.

Mentally ill on roads: Police chased a mentally challenged juvenile who wanted to drive on the roads of Kuwait and seized him before any accident could take place, reports Al-Rai daily.
Sources say the youth’s father, on discovering that that his son stole his car key and drove off, called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry. Securitymen immediately swung into action and managed to apprehend the juvenile.

Driving at 200 km/hr: An unidentified youth was apprehended by securitymen on Fahaheel Road for driving at 200 km/hr and crashing into a family van. However, no injuries were recorded, says Al-Seyassah.
Sources said traffic radar installed along the road had captured the motorist while he was driving at that speed, and the officers went after him. However, he smashed into the van as the officers ordered him to pull over. He was referred to the relevant authority.
