KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: Police have arrested a bedoun for attempting to kidnap a young Iranian woman while the latter was waiting for a cab to pick her up from her residence in Abu Halifah, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to the victim the youth approached her and offered to drive her to her destination and when she refused, the suspect tried to force her into his vehicle.
When the woman screamed for help, passersby came to her rescue, wrestled the youth to the ground and called police.

Runaway women nabbed : Jahra securitymen arrested 35 people for violating the residence law, 20 people for working without a work permit and four Asian women for absconding from their sponsors during a security campaign launched in Amghara scrap area. Securitymen have been launching such campaigns across the country.

65 illegals nabbed: The Farwaniya police during a campaign against residence and labor law violators are said to have arrested 65 people and referred them to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Anba daily. According to information all those arrested have been sent to the Deportation Center.

Car thief arrested: Police have arrested a Syrian youth for breaking into 15 vehicles in a suburb of Salmiya, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to sources police intensified their search for the thief after several people complained of theft of valuables from their vehicles.
The same sources said the arrest came when police saw the youth drop something and escape on foot when he discovered he was being watched by cops.
During interrogation, he is said to have admitted to committing the thefts. He has been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.
