Juvenile gang attacks, robs Iranian grocer Kuwaiti wanted in drugs case held

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: Seven juveniles attacked and assaulted an Iranian caretaker of a grocery store in Salmiya and stole KD 400 cash, unspecified packets of cigarettes and other items by force.
Acting on information, securitymen rushed to the place and managed to arrest the suspects who went hiding at the basement of a building behind the grocery store.
Meanwhile, the officers found some of the stolen items, hashish, and other narcotic pills while conducting a search on them. They also discovered that several criminal and civil cases had been registered against many of them. They have since been referred to the concerned authority for further investigation.

Kuwaiti held:
Security operatives from Ahmadi apprehended a Kuwaiti citizen wanted by law along the King Fahad Motorway.
Security sources said the citizen was absconding a jail term on drug related offenses for 6 years and officers referred him to the concerned authority without delay.

1 hurt in fistfight: A Bedoun got injuries in various parts of his body after engaging in a fistfight with three men in Sulaibiya recently.
Securitymen and a medical emergency team rushed to the location after the Operations Room received a call from a passerby, who witnessed the fight. When they arrived at the scene, the rescuers found the Bedoun lying on the ground, writhing in pain as he sustained multiple injuries. He was taken to Farwaniya Hospital.
A case was registered and investigations are in progress to arrest the three men who fled from the area immediately after sensing police presence.

Phones, cards stolen: Police are looking for unidentified burglars who allegedly broke into a shop in Jahra and escaped with two cell phones and prepaid telephone cards worth KD 1,500, reports Al-Anba daily. A complaint has been filed with the Jahra police by the Kuwaiti owner of the shop.

Car plates stolen: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing number plates of two vehicles belonging to a Kuwaiti family living in the Al-Sawaber Complex, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. A case has been registered at the Sharq Police Station.

Jabriya co-op hit: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into the branch of the Jabriya Cooperative Society and stealing KD 500 cash, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
