Airport facilitating departure procedures for ‘illegals’ ‘Take advantage of Amiri amnesty’

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Kuwait International Airport is facilitating the departure procedures of residence law violators wanting to leave the country by air, reports Al-Hurriya daily.
Director of Passports Department at the airport Colonel Bandar Hakim Al-Thufairi said HH the Amir’s decision to grant amnesty to residence law violators and allow them to leave the country without paying fines or correct their status by paying fines is a humanitarian decision.

He said residence law violators who lost their passports and have been issued travel documents by their countries’ embassies have to visit Immigration Department in their area, update their data and get a number that will be used for registration in the computers before departure. He called on all residence law violators to take advantage of the Amiri amnesty before the June 30th deadline.

Stop fighting guysMelanie Dsouza | 3/19/2011 9:47:10 AM I have seen sometimes when too many flights land they have this counter for group visas, but most of the time they don't.
To Ahmed AMustaq Ahmed Khan | 3/19/2011 9:40:24 AM There are few who belong to class of Morrons who walk blindly in and out of airport. Next time when you come in Kuwait open your eyes turn and look around there is a seperate counter for group contract visas, first time Maids. But for outgoing there isnt.
Inprocessing/outprocessingAhmad A | 3/19/2011 9:32:07 AM No you fail to understand inprocessing/outprocessing airport procedures! This is not about Rich and Poor. There is alot of confusion for them when they enter Kuwait for the first time and there is no one to assist them. It is a timely process when someone is entering the country with visa paperwork also fingerprinting etc is done at the airport during this timeframe for laborers. This goes for any nationality who enters Kuwait for the first time. ALSO it will benefit and cut down on human rights issues if all domestic helpers (labor grade 20) are umbrella'd under a government sponsored company and have catered flights because of the large influx of this labor grade in this nation. ALSO the people living in Kuwait that work on the US base who work here without a residency stamp are all Americans and these people should have a separate visa line to make it more efficient for them to enter and depart Kuwait because they are in a separate database. You are just another idiot in Kuwait and I will not respond again to your lack of intelligence!
To Ahmed AMustaq Ahmed Khan | 3/19/2011 9:13:55 AM At least KIA doesnt make distinction between Rich and Poor. Most of the facilities are common for all passengers. You need to have wisdom to understand this.
Organization of Passport Controls.Ahmad A | 3/19/2011 9:03:25 AM Firstly, all people entering the airport on Labor Grade 20 domestic visas should inprocess in a separate immigration area from residents where there is inprocessing procedures and in this area people who live in Kuwait who enter Kuwait without a resident visa should have a separate lane for their entry in Kuwait. Further, all laborers should be umbrella'd under a Kuwait government company and these companies should have separate chartered flights or have arrangments with certain airlines to transport laborers to assigned country destinations. KIA is overwhelmed with disorganization of inprocessing/outprocessing laborers and a separate passport controls section should be set up for them in KIA.
