KUWAIT CITY, March 20: Police have arrested three youths for consuming alcohol, attacking police and helping two young women to escape, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the youths and the women were riding in a car and when police ordered them to stop they tried in vain to escape.
The police chased the suspects and when they finally pulled over near a building in Salmiya, they helped the women (who were allegedly semi-nude) to escape.
It has been reported the youths were armed with bamboo sticks and threatened to attack the police if they came near the women.
A backup force was called and the youths were arrested and handed over to the concerned authorities.

‘It’s my hobby to take photos’: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for taking pictures of the State Security building. The man has been handed over to the South Surra Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily.
The arrest came when an unidentified person informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry. Police dispatched to the area caught the man red-handed while he was still taking pictures with his cell phone.
Police checked the cell phone and found pictures of the State Security building and other government institutions including tourist spots.
During interrogation the man admitted to taking pictures and said it was his hobby to take pictures of important places.
