Passport & Civil ID. taken by company

How can I go out when the company to which I am transferring has taken my passport to get my residence while the previous company has taken the Civil ID? My company closed down and I got a transfer paper from my hiring company. The mandoop got the transfer paper signed by my ex-boss and took my passport but also took my Civil ID.

So now I have just a xerox copy of the transfer paper, Civil ID and passport. Is mandoop right in taking the Civil ID card? Will police accept a xerox copy as legal residence? Can I go out and roam freely, without  fear of being caught?

Name withheld

Answer:
If you are caught by police you will be detained because the xerox copies of the documents are not accepted by the securitymen.
The firm can’t hold your Civil ID as it is a personal document. You must get it back if you don’t want to be detained.

civil id for 5 days onlySrivi | 5/16/2011 10:05:04 AM You should not give your civil id to mandoop. As per formality, during local transfer, the old civil id original should be submitted in shoun, for making hole to cancel old civil id and make new residency, original civil id is a must in counter. So mandoop took for submitting in shoun. He will return back in 5 days, after finishing your residency. no need to worry. In case, not returned, request him to return till making residency. Give original civil id, on the date of making residency. In case police arrest you, call mandoop to bring passport and civil id to police station, for verification. He will bring and release you, without any case. no need to worry.
