Family residence - Banned five nationalities

Could you advise me on family residence?

My family came to Kuwait on family visas and I have completed the medical, insurance, fingerprints and docs attestation. All is OK but when I went to get the residence I was told the residence is banned. We have been waiting for the last one month. Please advise when they will start to stamp residence for families which have already arrived in the country?

Name withheld

Answer: This is one question for which we have been unable to get an answer as the Interior Ministry officials are tight-lipped on the issue. This is happening because you must be from one of the five nationalities — Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Afghans, Iraqis and Syrians — for whom visas are banned.
There is nothing anyone can do except wait for the next decision.

embarrasing situationSuperman | 7/21/2011 7:22:57 AM i brought my wife to kuwait, finished all the formalities before stamping of residence, now jawazaat saying that visas ban of pakistani. my question is if visa's are banned why are they doing medical?why are they taking the insurance fees?why are they making finger prints? moreover why do they stamp the visas in native country? JUST FOR THE SAKE OF MONEY?? no one knows, but this is really frustrating and embarrasing after bringing family here to kuwait spending all this money and again sending them back on a new airline ticket. and if we talk to our embassy THEY HAVE NO ANSWER,my other question is, ARE THERE ANY OFFICIALS SITTING IN THE PAKISTANI EMBASSY??OR THEY ARE JUST DUMMIES???
