Kuwaiti woman and Iraqi man caught in act; Kuwaiti Couple held for ‘alcohol’ KUWAIT CITY, July 18: Police are looking for 3 unidentified persons for breaking into the apartment of an Indian man and stealing $5,000, 9,000 Indian rupees, 1,000 euros in addition to an expensive watch, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to reports the thieves entered the building after assaulting the caretaker and then forced their way into the third floor apartment of the victim. The victim is reportedly a manager of a company. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Lovers caught in act: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman who is believed to be in her 20s and an Iraqi man in his 30s for committing immoral act inside a car parked in a public place in Bayan, reports Al-Rai daily. The lovers were caught in the act. Both of them were seminude. They have been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department.
Couple held for ‘alcohol’ : Police have arrested a Kuwaiti couple for possessing and consuming alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily. The ‘drunkards’ were arrested at a police checkpoint in Kabad. Without going into details the daily said police have seized from their car a bottle of imported liquor.
Cards worth KD 5,700 stolen : Police are looking for an Egyptian company representative for betrayal of trust, reports Al-Anba daily. The man was reportedly working for a prepaid telephone cards company and he is said to have disappeared with cards worth KD 5,700.
Traffic policeman injured: A traffic policeman riding a motorbike who reportedly crashed into a metal barrier on the Bilajat Street escaped with minor injury, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. He was given first aid by paramedics. The daily said the mishap took place when an unidentified motorist swerved at the policeman and escaped. The policeman in an attempt to avoid a collision with the car hit the metal barrier.
30 cell phones seized: The Central Prison administration during a three-hour surprise inspection campaign is said to have confiscated 30 cell phones, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily did not give more details.
KD 360 stolen from car: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s told police officers in Ardiya that thieves broke into his vehicle and stole his wallet containing KD 360 cash and a pair of sunglasses. Criminal Evidences men have lifted fingerprints to trail the thieves. A case was registered.
Citizen arrested : Police have arrested an elderly Kuwaiti man for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest came when the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry received calls from Mansouriya Petrol Station workers that the man was insisting that they should fill his car tank with booze. When police rushed to the spot they found him high on alcohol.
