Iraqis desecrate Kuwaiti flag

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: A number of Iraqis recently desecrated the Kuwaiti flag, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily added some Iraqis spit on the flag and others hit it with their shoes. It was not mentioned in the report when and where in Iraq this happened.
The insult to the Kuwaiti flag which represents the dignity and sovereignty of the country should be met with firm official action. Such behavior should be condemned.

Advisor flees:  Police have arrested an Arab man working as legal advisor for a company, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The man reportedly escaped from the scene after colliding with the vehicle of an expatriate family which had stopped at a traffic signal in Salmiya. The man has been referred to the authorities.

Violations soar
: Statistics issued by the General Traffic Department show over the weekend the traffic police in the six governorates have issued 7,260 traffic citations and impounded 138 cars for committing various types of violations, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily did not give more details.

School looted:
Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who broke into the Hamad Al-Issa High School for Boys in Keifan and escaped with musical instruments, reports Al-Shahed daily.  Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
