KUWAIT CITY : A Bedoun was arrested by security operatives in Hawalli with a kilogram of hashish and 200 narcotic pills in his possession. Security sources said the officers acted on a tip-off Anti-drug General Department received about his activities. Armed with a search warrant, anti-narcotics men raided his flat in Hawalli area and confiscated the contraband. The suspect is said to have tried to flee and resisted arrest. He has since been referred to Public Prosecution.

Asian meets fiery death : An Asian was charred to death and many others were injured in traffic accidents recorded countrywide in the last few hours. The Asian expatriate burned to death, as his vehicle burst into flames after hitting a lamppost along the Kabad Motorway. Based on information, firemen accompanied securitymen and paramedics to the scene and quenched the flames. Unfortunately, they couldn’t save the victim. The remains were taken to Forensics by Criminal Evidence Men.

Meanwhile, an individual suffered severe injury when his vehicle turned turtle on the Seventh Ring Road. He was referred to the Adan Hospital by Medical Emergency Men for treatment. Two cars collided on Estiqlal Motorway, opposite Da’iya and caused various degrees of injuries to three expatriates. Paramedics were on hand to refer the injured people to the Amiri Hospital for medical attention. And, two expatriates sustained injuries in different places of their bodies when their car overturned on Airport Road, opposite Farwaniya. They are receiving treatment in Amiri Hospital.
