RIYADH, Oct 26, (KUNA): His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived here Wednesday, accompanied by a senior level delegation, to offer condolences to the Saudi leaders on the passing away of Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Speaking to KUNA upon his arrival at the Riyadh airbase, HH Sheikh Nawaf said: “All of us feel profound grief for this great loss. The Kuwaiti leadership, government and people offer condolences to the king, government and people of sisterly Saudi Arabia for the passing away of HRH the Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, May God have mercy on his soul.” “The passing away of HRH the Crown Prince constitutes a great loss not only to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but to the entire Arab nation as well. He used to be a valiant patriot who worked side by side with the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia to serve the fair causes of the Arab nation,” he said. “The State of Kuwait can never forget his brave stances in backing the liberation of Kuwait from the Saddamite occupation (1990-1991),” Sheikh Nawaf stressed.
He added that the late Crown Prince has had outstanding countless contributions, and given a hand, to the humanitarian efforts inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
HH Sheikh Nawaf prayed that Almighty God have mercy on the soul of the late Crown Prince and bestow patience on the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, the royal family and people of Saudi Arabia. HH Sheikh Nawaf and his entourage were received by Deputy Amir of Riyadh Region Prince Sutam bin Abdulaziz and Kuwait Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah.
