KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: Detective officers from Hawalli raided several suspicious dens of prostitution in the early hours of Friday — including Salmiya, and arrested 6 men and 4 women indulging in immoral activities.
Sources said some of the suspects were highly intoxicated at the time of arrest, and that similar raids will be conducted during Eid holidays.

Liquor seized: Two Asian expatriates were arrested near Khaitan and Al-Farwaniya areas after policemen found 30 bottles of local brew inside their car. The culprits were taken to the concerned authority without delay.

Two held drunk: Hawalli patrolmen arrested two young men in Al-Salmiya for drinking alcohol.
A source said the officers had spotted the suspects’ car which was moving in an erratic manner and ordered them to stop for checking, and in the process found a bottle of liquor and a firearm. They were referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.

Asian mugged: A youth attacked an Asian expatriate in Al-Sulaibiya area, took his mobile phone plus wallet by force, and escaped.
Later, the man filed a complaint at the Sulaibiya police station and provided details of the suspect to securitymen, and a case was registered for investigation. It is noteworthy the area has been witness to growing violence against Asians and other workers recently.
