Resignation not accepted
My friend has been working in a company for over 17 years. He recently got an offer from another company, but his current company didn’t accept his resignation. As per law if he is continuously absent for seven days from his job, this should be treated the same as resignation. Then can he receive his full indemnity?

Answer: Your friend should not have to resort to such steps after having worked so long for one company.
All your friend has to do is file a complaint with the Labour Office in his area. His transfer will surely be sanctioned.
You see, if you are absent for seven days the company may not fire you and instead may just cut your pay. So it is better to go to the Labour Office.
