Six teenagers caught carrying knives handed over to ‘prosecution’

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Jahra Security Directorate has handed over six teenagers to the Juvenile Prosecution because they were caught carrying knives. This came during a campaign launched by Jahra securitymen in several areas of the governorate, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The campaign resulted in the arrest of several other persons who caused inconvenience to the residents by loitering in the area.
The prosecution is interrogating all the detained persons to find out if they are involved in any sort of crimes, particularly thefts.

Maid accused of theft: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station accusing her Asian maid of stealing KD 200 from her handbag, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In her complaint, the woman said she withdrew the money from a bank branch and went home.
She added she placed the handbag in the sitting room and went inside and when she returned after some time she found the handbag on the floor but with no money inside.
She added she strongly suspects the maid of stealing the money.

5 bottles of liquor seized: The Farwaniya police arrested two Asians for possessing five bottles of locally-manufactured liquor. The men were taken in to custody in a suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Dar daily.
According to a security source the men were caught by a police patrol during a routine duty in the area.
The daily added the men were seated in a car and when they saw a police patrol they tried to move.
The patrolmen ordered the men to stop and checked their vehicle and found the bottles of booze in the car boot. The men with the booze were taken to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.

2 held for stealing sheep: The Ahmadi police have arrested two youths for stealing four sheep from an animal pen in Mina Abdullah, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the arrest came after the owner of the pen filed a complaint with the police and gave description of the vehicle and the suspects upon information by the guard of the pen.
Police investigations showed the vehicle was registered in the name of a citizen and during interrogations police discovered the man’s son had committed the theft with the help of his friend.
