37 illegals held in Jleeb ‘thief market’ raid Asians hurt in Mirqab fight
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: Based on the directives of Security Chief Major General Abdul-Fattah Al-Ali, Farwaniya security operatives have arrested 37 residency law violators of Asian nationality in a surprise campaign across the governorate.
Apparently, many of the suspects were engaged in spurious activities at the “Thief Market” in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, and others were wanted for various offenses. The officers have since referred the culprits to the concerned authority for legal action.
Asians in fight: Three Asians sustained various degrees of injuries when two groups of seven people engaged in a bloody fight at Mirgab, Kuwait City.
Security operatives at the Operations Room received a distress call about the incident and immediately deployed officers to the scene, with four ambulances. The injured people were taken to Amiri Hospital for treatment, while the other four were taken into custody.
Asian robs Syrian: A Syrian filed a complaint at a police station in Kuwait City against an Asian man, who allegedly took his wallet by force in Murghab.
The Syrian told police he was standing in front of an establishment in the area while speaking on the phone when the suspect snatched his wallet and fled from the scene. He had difficulty describing the suspect because the incident happened so fast. He said his wallet contained some cash and important documents.
Tent ‘emptied’: A Kuwaiti man lodged a complaint in Subiyya Police Station and reported that thieves raided his tent at Subiyya desert area and stole his belongings. He said the thieves cleared the tent of all contents valued at KD 1,000. Police have since registered a case for investigation.
Flat on fire: Firefighters from the Farwaniya Fire Station extinguished a fire that engulfed an apartment inside a building in the same area.
Firemen had swiftly responded to a distress call the Operations Room received in that regard, and managed to douse the flames in a record time. A case was registered for investigation.
