Egyptian couple getting ‘cosy’ in car held; ‘It is haraam’
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: Police arrested an Egyptian man and compatriot woman for committing immoral acts inside their car parked in the parking lot of a famous shopping complex in Salmiya area. The couple was in a vehicle with tinted glasses.
‘It is haraam’: Police have arrested an unidentified person for driving under the influence of alcohol for deliberately crashing into the vehicle of a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The incident happened when the drunkard was driving along the coastal road in Mangaf. The suspect reportedly saw the logo of a foreign football club on the vehicle of the Kuwaiti and just because the logo includes a cross, the suspect took objection and chased the Kuwaiti.
The suspect reportedly told the Kuwaiti it is ‘haraam’ to place a cross on his car, collided with his vehicle and escaped.
Woman breaks leg: An Asian woman fractured her leg and suffered various other injuries when she jumped from the second-floor office of a manpower agent in Salmiya area. The woman wanted to end her suffering by jumping from the second floor, but she landed on the first floor.
Absconder nabbed: Police arrested an 18-year-old youth who was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in absentia and was wanted in other molestation and theft cases.
Patrol officers on routine duty had stopped a vehicle in Amghara scrap area and had asked all its three occupants to show their ID cards. On checking records, they found out the wanted status of the youth and promptly referred him to authorities.
Asian mugged: Police are looking for a thief who beat up an Asian expatriate and snatched KD 300 from him at knifepoint in Shuwaikh area. The Asian filed a complaint and gave the suspect’s description to police.
Drug addict caught: Police arrested a motorist for consuming drugs and recovered six narcotic pills from his possession. The man’s unsteady driving and his constant swerving had attracted policemen’s attention.
