Teenage Kuwaiti girl commits suicide after failing in exams Iraqi woman beats up Kuwaiti man over dispute

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: A 14-year-old Kuwaiti girl is said to have ended her life by hanging herself with a rope inside her home in Umm Al-Haiman, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports when the father saw his daughter dangling from a rope - one end tied to the ceiling fan and the other around her neck - carried her to a hospital but she was declared dead upon arrival.
Initial investigations show the girl ended her life because she had got poor marks in examinations.

Man beaten: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Surra Police Station accusing an unidentified Iraqi woman of causing him injuries in the neck and mouth, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said this happened when the complainant and the suspect were involved in an argument over an earlier dispute. The woman reportedly lost her composure and attacked the Kuwaiti.
The Kuwaiti has submitted a medical report to substantiate his claim. The woman will be summoned for interrogation.

Strange mishap: An unidentified person was seriously injured following a strange traffic accident in Farwaniya, reports Al-Rai daily.
When the person lost control of his car, it ran out of control and crashed into the wall of a house. The car reportedly came to a halt in the kitchen of the house.
No occupants of the house were injured.
Paramedics, policemen and firefighters rushed to the house and took the motorist to a hospital.

Conman busted: Police have arrested an unidentified Arab expatriate for buying stolen cars, dismantling them and selling their spare parts to shops in Amghara, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information put the man under surveillance and caught him red-handed while selling parts in Amghara.
The man has been detained for interrogation. Police are seeking information about the thieves and details of the cars he has bought from them.

Whisky seized: Customs officers at the Shuwaikh Port have arrested two Kuwaiti employees of the port for attempting to smuggle 12 bottles of whisky, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports one of the suspects was caught at the gate while attempting to smuggle out of the port six bottles of whisky and during interrogation he gave the name of his partner who was also carrying six bottles. The men have been referred for investigation.

Stealing blades: An Asian man who was caught stealing five shaving blades from a shopping center in Shuwaikh has been handed over to the police, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the suspect was caught by the CCTV camera. He was stopped at the gate after leaving the counter.
