Dependent visa for a Step Daughter

I would like to know if I can sponsor my step-daughter (my wife’s daughter – 20 years old) on a dependent visa. My wife and I are working in Kuwait and I am earning KD 410.
We already have a daughter (7 years old) on my sponsorship. I have been working in Kuwait for the past 20 years.
Name withheld

Answer:
Yes, you can sponsor your step-daughter and should have no problems in getting a dependent visa for her, but there is a problem if her father is alive. In such a case you have to get a letter from the father stating that he has no objections to the daughter staying with the mother. This affidavit has to be attested by a court and the foreign ministry of your country.
