Filipino Maid killed by sponsor and his wife Hearing soon in torture, murder case

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The Criminal Court supervised by counselor Abdul Nasser Khuraibet will begin hearing in the case involving a Filipino housemaid who was allegedly murdered by the sponsor and his wife.
Apparently, the deceased had been tortured by the two suspects until she became unconscious, and fearing that neighbors will discover the crime, they carried her to an abandoned building where she died.
The case file indicates that the son of the maid’s sponsor was aware of ill-treatment she received from his parents, so he asked of the maid’s whereabouts when he didn’t see her inside the house for many days. However, the suspects claimed she was in a hospital.

Sale deed revoked: The Court of First Instance revoked a sale deed signed between a Kuwaiti man and a real estate company and ordered the company to refund KD 22,000 to the man. It also ordered the company to pay KD 2,000 as compensation.
The company had refused to hand over an apartment to the Kuwaiti although he paid for it. The Kuwaiti gave the company warning before taking it to the court.

Hearing today:
The Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Wael Al-Afifi, will look into the case of premeditated murder involving the Coast Guard officer some eight Iraqis killed.
Earlier, the court had adjourned the case to Sunday, Jan 8 to hear the testimony of the prosecution officer after he had been fined KD 50 for failing to attend the previous session.
The case file indicates that Lance Corporal Abdulrahman Al-Enezi of the Coast Guard was killed by 8 Iraqi sailors while on duty, after the suspects infiltrated the Kuwaiti territorial water with weapons.
Officers are said to have ordered the fishermen to stop, and consequently exchanged gunfire when they declined the orders, in the course of which Al-Enezi died. Four of the eight Iraqi sailors were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities, whereas the rest managed to escape.
