I have been working here in Kuwait on an Article 20 visa for four years. I am a pharmacist by education and I have school papers to prove that it’s true.
My question: Am I eligible for a release? What if my sponsor declines? What should I do next?

Answer: If you are working on an Article 20 visa (domestics) you must be a domestic worker or working illegally in the private sector.
If you are on an Article 20 visa and you get a release from your sponsor you can only get another domestic residence. Your residence can’t be converted into a work permit unless it is for the same sponsor.
So the best thing would be is to get a work permit, leave the country and return to Kuwait on the new document.
