KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Hawalli police have arrested three people — two bedoun and a Kuwaiti — for breaking into a pharmacy and stealing medicines, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said following the theft information was passed on to all police patrols to look for the suspects and the men were finally arrested at a check point in Salmiya.
The daily added when a police patrol asked the men to show their IDs they looked confused and the man behind the wheel tried in vain to get his way past the police.
Police searched the car and found in their possession some stolen medicines. During interrogation they have admitted to the crime.
They have been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department.

Syrians, Turks fight: Two Syrians and four Turks, employees of a barber shop in Hawalli who were involved in a fight have been referred to the concerned authorities.
However, according to security sources two Syrians and one Turk who were injured in the fight were taken to a hospital for treatment and then to a police station for interrogation.

Wanted man held: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man who was wanted by law in connection with a criminal case.
The arrest came when police initially arrested him for speeding while driving along a road in Hawalli.
The man reportedly tried in vain to escape police but he was overpowered and arrested.

Woman reports spouse: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Rumaithiya Police Station accusing her husband of beating and insulting her.
In her complaint the woman said her husband is an alcoholic and on the day of the incident he came home drunk and without reason beat her.
She added she escaped from the house and went to a hospital and got a medical report which shows injuries on her body.
The man has been referred to the authorities.

Barber cuts piece of ear: An unidentified Egyptian teacher was taken to the Farwaniya Hospital when a barber accidentally cut a piece of his ear during hair cut, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The doctors have reportedly stitched the man’s ear in place.
In the meantime the daily added the teacher got angry following the incident and punched the barber and fractured his nose.
A case has been registered at the area police station.
