KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14, (KUNA): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) Saturday dismissed speculations being circulated that registration for new voters would be opened for one day before upcoming elections, due next month.
“Opening the registration for new voters for one day is not true,” Ali Murad, Assistant Director General of Elections Affairs at MoI, reacted in a brief statement to KUNA.
“Opening the registration before the holding of parliamentary elections which are due on Feb 2, 2012 is illegal,” he affirmed.
