Bangladeshi held with ‘pills 12 packets marijuana found on passenger

 KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport recently foiled the attempt by an Asian man to smuggle 12 packets of marijuana and its seeds into the country.
Sources revealed the officers got suspicious when they noticed the Asian looked disturbed. When they checked his luggage, they found the forbidden items, estimated to be about three kilograms, hidden in tinted plastic. He was referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Customs Department Ibrahim Al-Ghanim lauded the efforts exerted by the officers in thoroughly checking the luggage of passengers.
Airport Security Supervisor Sulaiman Al-Fahad also praised the officers for a job well done. He warned those who might be thinking of smuggling drugs into the country and said that security authorities are keen on eliminating this social menace.

Bangladeshi held with ‘pills’: Customs officers at Al-Nuwaiseeb border post arrested a Bangladeshi truck driver coming from a GCC state for attempting to smuggle narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Inspectors found 702 narcotic pills hidden in the truck and referred the driver to authorities.

‘It’s an inside job’: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing money from a confectionary shop in Hadiya, reports Al-Rai daily.
 Police are suspecting it to be an inside job because the door was not broken. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints from the scene and investigations are going on.

Wanted youths nabbed: The special duty squad of the Interior Ministry arrested two youths who were wanted by law for their involvement in criminal and drug-related cases and referred them to authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The youths were traveling in a jeep and appeared nervous when police approached them. The youths tried to escape by speeding up, but in the process, they crashed into another police vehicle. One of them tried to run away on foot, but policemen could arrest him as well as the other youth.
