Court orders woman to return to her husband’s home Prisoner acquitted of the charge of committing sexual act

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: The Personal Status Court, presided over by Judge Abdallah Haydar, instructed a Kuwaiti woman to return to her husband’s home after she walked out without any legal reason.
Case files indicate her husband’s lawyer, Attorney Hassan Al-Ajmi, filed the lawsuit because the woman disobeyed his client by walking out of the matrimonial house without the knowledge of her husband. He argued there is no reason for the woman to walk out of the house, considering she has three children with him, he has provided for all the needs of the family, he has been loyal to her and paid her dowry in full.
After weighing the arguments and pieces of evidence presented by both sides, the court asked the woman to return to her husband because there is no legal basis for her to walk out of the matrimonial house.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Hisham Al-Abdallah, acquitted a Central Jail prisoner of dishonor a bisexual fellow inmate.
It has been reported the supposed victim admitted that he was with the accused at the visitors’ lounge to make phone calls. When he finished the phone call, the accused allegedly asked him to go to the warden’s office where the latter started to touch his private body parts.
However, during hearing on the case, the defense lawyer, Attorney Ayed Al-Rashidi, vehemently denied the allegation, asserting the warden had testified that when they entered the office, he asked them to get out immediately and it was not possible that the incident have taken place for 30 minutes as the victim claims.
