Police arrest scantily clad Arab woman in drunk state
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: An Arab woman, clad in indecent clothes, was arrested in Abu Halifa for consuming alcohol and violating the Residency Law.
While patrolling the area, the securitymen noticed the erratic movement of the woman’s vehicle, so they signaled her to pull over for routine inspection. The officers then noticed the woman was under the influence of alcohol and she was wearing indecent clothes.
Moreover, when the officers checked her identification documents, the officers found out she was in violation of the Residency Law. She was referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.
Pakistani stabbed: A 38-year-old Pakistani man sustained deep chest injuries after being stabbed in a fight with another expatriate in Sulaibikhat.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene immediately after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information on the fight. The Pakistani was taken to Sabah Hospital, while the other expatriate was referred to the security authorities for interrogation.
Tent items stolen: A Kuwaiti filed a complaint at Mina Abdullah Police Station against unidentified persons he accused of breaking into his tent in Julai’a and carting away some electronic appliances and furniture.
According to the complainant, he was surprised to find the damage in the entrance to his tent when he visited it recently. The tent was in total disarray and several pieces of furniture and electronic appliances were missing.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the thieves.
Food shop burgled: A food shop employee has reported that an unidentified man burgled the store, escaping with prepaid mobile phone cards, electronic equipment and other goods worth KD 2,000.
The employee told police the thief used his car to destroy the door of the shop. Luckily, the employee managed to note down the car plate number, which the security authorities are now using to track down the suspect.
