Iranian escapes with 13-kg gold worth KD 200,000 from jeweller

KUWAIT CITY, March 2: Police are looking for a 41-year-old Iranian who allegedly cheated a compatriot jeweler and escaped with 13 kilos of gold estimated to be worth KD 200,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The jeweler, 61, had filed a breach of trust case against the suspect.
In a separate case, an Iranian woman filed a complaint, accusing her Sri Lankan roommate of stealing KD 150 and jewelry worth KD 100.
A case was registered and investigations are going on.

Man inhales poisonous fumes: An unidentified Kuwaiti who inhaled poisonous fumes emanating from coal has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital.
Police sources say the victim had burned charcoal in his room to keep himself warm from the winter cold.
However, when his brother arrived, he called out to his brother and seeing no reply from him he discovered the sibling was unconscious.
The authorities have appealed to people to take precautions when burning coal to keep warm during winter season.
