Iraqi woman beats up two men in dispute over dowry Kuwaiti shoots at, tries to kill compatriot woman
KUWAIT CITY, March 20: A 34-year-old Kuwaiti man and a 52-year-old Egyptian marriage officer filed a complaint at Hawalli Police Station, accusing an Iraqi woman of assaulting them, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Kuwaiti and the Egyptian went to the house of the Iraqi, 29, to settle certain issues when an argument over dowry broke out. The woman reportedly got wild and slapped the marriage officer so hard that his left ear started bleeding. The Kuwaiti also alleged that the woman stole his car key.
Police summoned the Iraqi woman but she denied the charges.
Woman shot at: Police are looking for a Kuwaiti man who shot and tried to kill a compatriot woman in Kabad area, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The woman, an employee of the Interior Ministry, filed a complaint at Kabad Police Station, saying the man shot at her car while she was leaving the livestock pen of her family. She gave the plate number of the suspect’s car to police who checked records and found out that the car belonged to a Kuwaiti man.
A case of murder attempt was registered against the suspect, particularly since three bullets were found pierced in the windscreen of the complainant’s car.
License stolen: The heirs of late Amir HH Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad filed a complaint at Bayan Police Station, accusing a Kuwaiti man, identified only as M.A., of stealing the driving license of the late Amir, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In the complaint, which was filed by the family lawyer, the heirs said the license was displayed at an exhibition at the International Fair Grounds in Mishref.
The accused will be summoned for questioning and sources say a search and arrest warrant was issued in case he does not show up.
Drug trader held: Security-men from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a Bedoun for trading in drugs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Securitymen had set up a trap for the Bedoun near a commercial complex, but he sensed the presence of police and ran away on foot. Policemen then chased and arrested him and recovered five kilos hashish from his car.
Canadian caught drunk: Police arrested a Canadian man for driving under the influence of alcohol and referred him to Nugra Police Station, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The Canadian was caught driving recklessly on a street.
Hacker sought: e-Crimes Department officials are looking for a hacker who hacked the account of a Kuwaiti man and transferred KD 500 into another account, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Kuwaiti received a SMS from his bank, notifying him about the withdrawal of the amount. He was greatly shocked as his ATM card was with him and on inquiring, found out that the money was transferred online.
