KUWAIT CITY, March 29: An Indian maid filed a complaint, accusing her sponsor of assaulting her and causing her several injuries on the face, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
In the complaint, the woman said when she asked the sponsor to return her to the domestics’ office, he grew so livid that he beat her with a stapler on her face. She said she suffered several injuries, including in the eyes, due to the beating.
A case was registered and the Kuwaiti sponsor would be summoned for investigation.

Drunk woman: Police have arrested an Egyptian woman for consuming alcohol in Hawalli area, reports Al-Rai daily.
Patrol officers noticed the unsteady gait of the woman and had asked her to show her identification documents. Sources say officers smelt alcohol in her breath and referred her to authorities.

Drugs seized: A GCC national was arrested in possession of drugs on the chalets road, reports Al-Rai daily.
Sources say police patrols had stopped the GCC national after noticing his uneasiness on seeing them and found the drugs in his vehicle. The expatriate was referred to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control (DGDC).
