KUWAIT CITY, April 1: A woman was stabbed by her Kuwaiti husband and was left profusely bleeding from the stab wounds near a security check point in Salmi.
Reportedly, the woman was recently discharged from the hospital after giving birth to a baby girl. Her husband, who was present at the time of discharge, was drunk and took the mother and child to Salmi.
The Operations Room at Ministry of Interior had immediately dispatched securitymen and paramedics when they received information about the severely wounded woman. The victim was immediately taken to Jahra Hospital for treatment.
The hospital authorities informed the securitymen that the victim was stabbed six times, resulting in substantial loss of blood.
According to the victim’s statement, due to some domestic disputes, her husband stabbed her and took the baby to his mother.
A case has been registered against the suspect and investigations are being carried out to find and arrest him.
