The current tournament, which is being played on a totally different format from the previous ones, has now finished its three weeks of games.
The current tournament involves four teams, namely SMDC-Jazz, SMDC- M Place, SMDC-Green and SMDC-Light.
All these teams are involved in one round to find the winner based on the number of wins and total points. Besides the team competition, individual pairs are competing by category.
Meanwhile, the FILBACK Technical Committee has applied permanent pairing in the event with “jokers ” replacing missing or injured players to ensure a smooth flow in the competition. Jokers are replacement players from the same category while no shows cost the team and the tandem involved faces an immediate default.
This event would not have been possible without the efforts of FILBACK Founding Chairman Caloy Abesamis along with FILBACK Director Leo Regner, FILBACK Tournament Director Albert Naguit, Alpha Phi Omega Kuwait Alumni Association (APO KAA-153) and all the office bearers who work hard throughout the year to not only provide quality tournaments but also promote friendship and sportsmanship among the members of these organizations.
