‘Housing’ studies salary hike for expat employees Al-Mudhaf to raise excellent bonus
KUWAIT CITY, April 6: The Public Authority for Housing Affairs has been evaluating how much salary raise can be given for expatriate employees working at the authority, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
However, the concerned committee is expected to submit a report to the Higher Planning Committee (HPC) next week to decide on the issue.
Meanwhile, an official source has disclosed that the HPC will send the report to the Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Shueib Shabbab Al-Muweizri for approval.
The source said expatriates who are entitled for the salary raise constitute 40 percent of the entire workforce in the establishment.
The same committee had earlier reviewed the salaries rise and allowances for Kuwaiti employees and raised the salary ceiling of some deserving employees.
He added the minister is determined to motivate Kuwaitis and expatriates to improve their output.
Meanwhile, General Manager of the Credit and Savings Bank Salah Al-Mudhaf has decided to raise the annual excellent performance bonus for employees by 25 percent compared to previous years, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting a banking source.
The same source said Al-Mudhaf has taken the decision in appreciation of the efforts exerted by the employees during the last fiscal year. He said it was during this time the bank accomplished the housing welfare laws for women and the disabled.
He indicated the employees bore extra responsibilities to complete those issues, in addition to other transactions for citizens that were carried out in record time.
He hoped the raise will motivate the employees to consolidate efforts and perform better in the years ahead.
