Egyptian expat vows marriage, sexually assaults Filipina girlfriend Thieves drive away with six trailer trucks

KUWAIT CITY, April 7: Police have arrested an Egyptian expatriate for raping his Filipino girlfriend, reports Al-Rai daily. The Filipina lodged a complaint, saying the Egyptian cheated her by claiming that he wanted to marry her and that his mother wished to see her. The woman added that he took her to his apartment under the pretext of introducing her to his mother but his real motive was to rape her.

Trucks stolen: Police are looking for thieves who drove away six trailer trucks parked in Mina Abdullah area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. A Syrian man had reported the incident at Mina Abdullah Police Station. Furthermore, a legal representative of a transport company filed a complaint, accusing two Asian workers of stealing the wheels of a truck belonging to the company, added the daily. One of the thieves was arrested and referred to Mina Abdullah Police Station.


Iraqi arrested: Police have arrested an Iraqi man for threatening his Kuwaiti neighbor with a Kalashnikov rifle, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest came soon after the Kuwaiti lodged a complaint at Yarmouk Place Station. Three hours after the incident, the Kuwaiti reportedly wanted to withdraw the complaint, but he was told it was not possible.


Drug peddler held: Hawally securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti man for trafficking in drugs in Salwa and recovered heroin and other drugs from him, reports Al-Rai daily. The Kuwaiti was arrested in a buy-bust operation while selling narcotic pills to a police agent.


Thieves nabbed: Hawally securitymen have arrested three Bedouns for committing several thefts in the area, reports Al-Rai daily. Securitymen found out that one of the thieves was selling stuff at low prices and laid a trap for him. They found out that the suspect was wanted by law for several crimes and was sentenced in absentia to two years imprisonment. The suspect had placed the number plate of a stolen car on his own vehicle and during interrogation, admitting to his crimes. He also guided police to his other two partners. The three Bedouns were referred to the public prosecution along with all the stolen items in their possession.


Runs with salary: A Kuwaiti man filed a complaint, saying his Nepalese servant ran away after receiving one-month’s salary in advance, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Kuwaiti said he hired the servant, paid for his ticket and gave him one-month payment in advance and so, was greatly shocked on finding out that he had run away.


Ammo seized: Jahra securitymen arrested five Kuwaitis for possessing unlicensed hunting guns and cartridges and referred them to the Criminal Investigations Department, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The men were caught while traveling in a jeep in a desert area in Salmi.


Alarm at bank: Police rushed to a bank in Jahra area after its alarm system was set off, reports Al-Rai daily.
Sources say the alarm set off when a boy threw a stone at the glass façade of the bank. Police are looking for the stone thrower.


Robbers caught: Jahra securitymen have arrested four thieves for stealing wheels and spare parts from vehicles in Amghara, reports Al-Rai daily.
The thieves were arrested while traveling in a car loaded with the stolen stuff.
