Sponsoring Mother although Father is in Kuwait

My mother is currently on my father’s sponsorship. He, however keeps threatening my mother that he will no longer sponsor her because of the arguments they have and since my mother will stop living with him.
Could you let me know if I can sponsor my own mother, being her daughter, and what is the process of taking on my mother as a dependent. Is there a yearly fee of KD 200/-?

Name withheld
Answer:
If your father stays in Kuwait, has a valid residence and your mother remains married to him there is no way she can be sponsored by you.

Secondly, if you also are being sponsored by your husband you can again not sponsor her.

But, you can – under special circumstances, with the permission of senior officials of the Interior Ministry – sponsor her if you are on a work permit, can prove that you earn enough to support her, she is ‘legally’ separated from your father and also if you can prove that there is no one to look after her back in your country.
And lastly, there is a yearly fee of KD 200 if the Interior Ministry, through the Immigration Dept, allows you to sponsor her.
