Egyptian Teacher blackmailed for sin Kuwaiti man blamed
KUWAIT CITY, April 16: An Egyptian female teacher filed a complaint at Abu Halifa Police Station, accusing a Kuwaiti man of threatening to post her doctored photos on the Internet if she didn’t come to his apartment and fulfill his desires, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect allegedly blackmailed her and asked for KD 100 upfront. The woman provided the suspect’s phone number and his office address to police.
Indian held: Police have arrested an Indian expatriate for trafficking in alcohol in Firdous area, reports Alam-Alyawm daily.
Police, acting on a tipoff, laid a trap and arrested the bootlegger while selling local brew to a police agent.
Kuwaiti swindled: A Kuwaiti man filed a breach of trust case against an Iranian who allegedly fled with KD 34,000, reports Alam-Alyawm daily.
The Kuwaiti, in his complaint, said he and the Iranian decided to launch a commercial project together and that the Iranian escaped out of the country as soon as the money changed hands.
Expat robbed: Three dishdasha-clad men allegedly beat up an Indian expatriate and stole his cell phone and wallet containing KD 50 in Jahra area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Indian filed a complaint and gave the suspects’ description to police.
Drug addicts held: Police have arrested three youths – two Saudis and a Bedoun – for consuming drugs and recovered 40 narcotic pills from their possession, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The youths’ unsteady gait and abnormal behavior while they were walking on Sabhan Road had caught the attention of police patrols on routine duty in the area.
