Corruption, better services top agenda of majority bloc meet Lawmakers to discuss Shimali grilling

KUWAIT CITY, April 21: The parliamentary majority bloc will hold a meeting Sunday at the diwaniya of MP Shaya Al-Shaya to discuss the latest political developments, reports Al-Anba daily.
Informed sources said the MPs will first discuss and agree on the priorities to be adopted in the coming phase, considering the popular demands and important draft laws.
They stressed that the draft laws for corruption control and improvement of services provided to the citizens are among the bloc’s top priorities.
They pointed out that during the meeting, they will also discuss the alleged inquest against Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Mustafa Jassem Al-Shimali, especially since a few lawmakers declared they are preparing pivots for grilling requests against Al-Shimali.
They added that each lawmaker will pose his justifications in this regard in order to arrive at an appropriate decision which will be for the good of the bloc as well as the public.
In another development, the government has agreed to establish National Fund for Development that would help finance small projects in the nation, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable governmental sources.
They said the government aims to support owners of small projects by providing loans, lands and guidance, adding that the government does not intend to be an obstacle in the development of talented people in the country.
In addition, they denied rumors that the government issued the decision to force employees who spent more than 20 years in service to retire.
