Bedoun dies in fall from lift; Asian found dead on street 16 held as tons of vegetables, foodstuff seized
KUWAIT CITY, April 21: A 51-year-old Bedoun lost his life when he fell from a lift at the third floor of a residential building in Sa'ad Al-Abdullah.
Acting on information, rescue officers moved in quickly to rescue the man, and he was rushed to the Jahra Hospital for medical attention. However, he was pronounced dead upon arrival and his remains were deposited to Forensics for autopsy.
Many of his relatives are said to have gathered at the scene during the rescue operation.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Asian expatriate was found dead opposite a restaurant in Riggae.
Securitymen rushed to the location when they received information about a man lying still by the roadside in Riggae. The corpse has been referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy procedures.
Investigations are being carried out to find the cause of the victim's death.
16 held as tons of vegetables, foodstuff seized: About 15 Asian residency law violators and one drunken man were arrested by Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Municipality officials during a two-hour extensive campaign against hawkers and other violators in Khaitan and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The campaign started immediately after Friday prayers, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Also, the officers seized 13 tons of vegetables, fruits, foodstuffs, fish, used clothing and some CDs. They have since referred persons arrested to the relevant authority for prosecution.
