Bangladeshi, Pakistani held in drug trafficking
KUWAIT CITY, April 28: A Bangladeshi national was recently arrested for heroin trafficking, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspect was caught red-handed when he tried to sell two sachets of heroin worth KD 150 to an undercover police agent.
Armed with a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, securitymen raided the suspect’s house in Jleeb Al-Shuwaikh and found 19 sachets of heroin hidden inside a washing machine.
When questioned, the suspect admitted that he worked for an inmate in the Central Prison. The suspect and the drugs have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani national was recently arrested for trading in hashish, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspect was caught red-handed when he tried to sell three hashish fingers worth KD 160 to undercover police.
Securitymen also found 500 grams of hashish at the suspect’s house in Salmiya.
The suspect and the drugs have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Caretaker robbed: A Kuwaiti citizen has lodged a complaint at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station accusing three unknown persons of breaking into the room of a residential building caretaker and escaping with KD 1,800 that the latter had collected from the tenants of the building, reports Al-Anba daily.
Reportedly, the three suspects had accused the caretaker of violating law by working for another sponsor and escaped with the money.
Investigations are being carried out to find the three suspects and retrieve the stolen money.
