KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Director General of Public Authority for Civil Information Mesayed Al-Asousi says new smart Civil IDs will be issued to expatriates working in the government sector with residence under Article 17, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press release, Al-Asousi said this step is in line with the Authority’s plan to issue the new smart Civil IDs to expatriates during the renewal of their expired civil IDs, adding that the required documents for submission include a copy of the passport, two passport-size photographs and the blood-type report.
Al-Asousi reiterated that all official transactions will be suspended from beginning of June 2012 for those citizens who fail to obtain the new smart civil IDs before the end of May 2012.
