‘Kuwaiti doctors key to better health care’ Minister addresses KU students

KUWAIT CITY, May 6, (KUNA): Minister of Health Dr. Ali Saad Al-Obeidi said on Saturday that transformation into a strategic vision, plans, and health care programs, which was currently taking place in Kuwait, required a viable contribution from medical school graduates.
The minister made his remarks in a speech he delivered during a graduation ceremony for Science and Medical College, Al-Obeidi noted that such occasion reflected on the tremendous efforts exerted by Kuwait University and Medical College to prepare national workforce.
The minister added that the honorable task conducted by Kuwait University to prepare and train students to work in various departments of the health sector, would in turn positively result on enhanced health care and development in the overall health system.
Al-Obeidi added that he believed there would be a change that was taking place in health care, through modern health systems adopted by many advanced countries, asserting importance of exerting efforts to increase human resources capabilities and the understanding of health prevention.
For his part, the Dean of Medical College in Kuwait University, Adel Al-Khodher said in a speech, that the country was in desperate need of national cadres, which were qualified in such honorable profession.
“We are counting on you to enhance your capabilities and bear responsibility for tasks ahead, and we wish you a brighter future,” Al-Khodher added.
