Filipina raped
KUWAIT CITY, May 9: Police are looking for three unidentified youths for kidnapping and raping a Filipino woman, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the suspects forced the victim into their car in front of Al-Watiyah Commercial Complex in Salhiya, took her to a deserted area, raped her and then abandoned her.
A case has been registered at a police station.
‘Escapee’ caught: The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified bedoun who was wanted by law in connection with several crimes and had allegedly escaped from the Farwaniya Police Station, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the suspect was holed up in a livestock pen in Al-Salmi.
He has been handed over to the concerned authorities. Some sources say he was also wanted by law in a case of arson.
Wanted man drunk: The Jahra police have arrested a citizen for drinking alcohol. Police records show he was also wanted by law for possessing drugs and stealing KD 33,000 from an unidentified person, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, the suspect was caught by police during routine patrol at an unidentified location. He has been referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
Citizen cheated: A citizen has filed a complaint with the Nugra Police Station accusing a Syrian of fraud, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint, the Kuwaiti said he joined the Syrian in a commercial project and after paying his share of investment (KD 2,600) the suspect disappeared and switched off his cell phone.
The complainant has provided police details about the suspect.
