Semi-nude, illegal; 15 young people nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, May 13:: An unidentified man has been arrested for drinking alcohol. He was caught walking semi-nude along the Sixth Ring Road, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, several people saw the man and called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
He is also believed to be staying illegally in the country.

15 young people nabbed: Fifteen young people — 11 men and four women in addition to six cross-dressers have been arrested by police during a raid on suspect apartments in Salmiya and Al-Shaab, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the campaign was organized by police after receiving a tip-off from residents of both areas that young people were involved in immoral activities.
The daily added the suspects were caught red-handed. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Woman driving drunk: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti woman for driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the woman was arrested on the Restaurants Street in Salmiya.
A police patrol saw the woman driving recklessly and ordered her to pull over. When an officer walked to the car and asked for her driving licence and car registration, he got the smell of alcohol.
Police records showed her husband had earlier filed a complaint against her accusing her of committing adultery.
She has been handed over to the authorities.

Beaten over no meals: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Rumaithiya Police Station accusing her husband of beating her because she did not prepare his dinner, reports Al-Rai daily.
The woman, an employee of the Ministry of Interior, has submitted a medical report from the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.

Woman harassed: Police are looking for two unidentified persons for molesting a Kuwaiti woman and causing a traffic accident, reports Al-Rai daily.
In her complaint the woman said the two men kept following her and harassing her until they cornered her and forced her to pull over on a highway near a cement barrier.
After another car collided with her vehicle from the rear, they escaped from the scene.
