KUWAIT CITY, May 18: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station accusing his Filipino maid of escaping from his apartment to meet her boyfriend, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources, the maid during interrogation has confessed to the charge.
She added she knew the youth through telephone conversation although she had never met him before. She also told police she went to his apartment and that he had sex with her but stole her money and handbag.
She also said the youth locked her inside the apartment for three days and raped her successively.
She added she jumped from the first floor apartment to escape from the rapist. A case has been registered at a police station. Police are looking for the rapist.

KD 2,000 stolen from shop: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a shop selling textiles in a popular market in the Capital Governorate and escaped with KD 2,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
The theft was discovered by the employees when they reported for work in the morning. They found the shop door broken and money missing from the cash box.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the thief.

Girl dies in swimming pool: A nine-year-old Kuwaiti girl died inside the swimming pool on the Maseelah Beach, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to the daily the victim was accompanied by her family. The daily did not mention the circumstances which led to the death of the victim.
However, acting on information paramedics and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department rushed to the spot and referred the remains to Forensics.

Mentally ill woman held: The Sulaibiya police have arrested a mentally ill Kuwaiti woman in a case of arson, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to security sources the woman is said to have set fire to five vehicles on two consecutive days.
Acting on information, the Fire Services Directorate rushed to the spot and put out the fire.
Accordingly, to security sources the woman came driving in a car and poured an inflammable substance on the vehicles, torched the cars and drove off. An eyewitness noted the car plate number and informed police.
A case has been registered at the area police station. The investigation is underway.
