‘I was never and will never be used as tool for corruption’ Minister Rujeib says saddened by MP’s accusation
KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Ahmad Al-Rujeib says he is ready to accept the title ‘ex-minister’ if it is the price he has to pay to see the Kuwait sports ban lifted and to fly the flag of Kuwait at Olympics and other international sports festivals, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
He made the statement in response to the verbal attack waged against him by MP Marzouq Al-Ghanim, saying he finds it disappointing when someone like MP Al-Ghanim who knows him well, is now accusing him of being used as a tool for corruption by some people.
He also said he was saddened that he was attacked for his strong interest in seeing Kuwait’s flag flying high in the summer Olympics in London after blessing and endorsing the sports event.
Minister Al-Rujeib addressed MP Al-Ghanim and others who are accusing him, by insisting that he was never and will never be used as a tool for corruption, and that he will not withdraw his decision as well.
