157 fake ‘fit’ certificates found Docus contain no data nor pictures
KUWAIT CITY, May 23: One hundred and fifty-seven fake health certificates signed and stamped by the current and former officials of the Kuwait Municipality Services Licensing Department have been discovered at Farwaniya Municipality branch, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to a reliable source the fake documents did not contain any data and/or passport size photos. These certificates were meant for restaurant workers to prove they are medically ‘fit’ although they are not.
He said these certificates were found on May 13, 2012 when technicians were carrying out maintenance work on some air conditioners in that branch.
According to reports the officials first found 10 certificates bearing the signature and the stamp of the advertisement licensing supervisor whose jurisdiction did not cover the purpose for which they were meant, however, the signature did not match his.
Later the officials retrieved one more certificate bearing the signature and the stamp of the current department manager, who denies knowledge and claims his signature has been forged.
Another certificate bore the signature and stamp of a former department manager, while 13 others bore the signature and the stamp of another former manager who currently serves as an assistant undersecretary in a ministry.
Three other certificates bore only the signatures, while the remaining 129 certificates were blank without signature or pictures.
