Filipino maid hangs herself to death at sponsor’s home
KUWAIT CITY, May 23: A Filipino maid, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope inside the apartment of her female sponsor in Jabriya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information paramedics and police rushed to the spot and found the woman dangling from a rope.
Her remains have been referred to Forensics. A case has been registered at the area police station.
Man held with drugs: The Southern Highway Patrol have arrested a Kuwaiti man for possessing 250 grams of hashish and handed him over to the General Department for Drug Control, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources, the man was taken into custody while driving along the Maghreb Expressway.
It has been reported when police ordered the man to pull over, he refused and continued to drive until a backup force was called and the man had no option but to surrender.
During interrogation he claimed to be sick and said he was on his way to a hospital but when police checked his car they found the drugs.
Bedoun beaten, robbed: The Sulaibiya police are looking for three unidentified persons for beating a bedoun and stealing his wallet containing money and his cell phone, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
In his complaint the bedoun, who suffered injuries and bruises on the body and a cut on the shoulder, said the men blocked his way while he was on his way home and asked him to hand over what he had.
When he refused, the trio beat him, robbed him and escaped on foot.
